Do I need and appointment to use your services? |
| |
Grooming services are
performed Monday through Saturday from
9am to 4pm. Sunday we are closed. It
is recommended that you schedule an appointment. |
How much does a grooming service cost? |
| |
Charges are based on
breed, size and condition of your pets coat. Extra charges apply
for flea dips, matting, special cuts or
scissoring. We also offer cat grooming!

Can I save money on the cost of a grooming session if I bathe my pet? |
| |
We recommended all pets
to be bathed and cleaned at their grooming
session. When grooming, there is a set process
in order to obtain the proper finished result
and cannot be obtained unless the entire
process has been performed by your groomer. |

My pet's coat is very matted, can I resolve the issue myself? |
| |
For a small amount of
matting, it is possible that it can be worked
out. If your pet has excessive matting,
unfortunately, No. Your pet may have to
be shaved and resume new growth. To prevent matting, regular brushing and combing is needed. |
Do you sedate pets before you bathe or groom them? |
| |
No. We are trained to
handle your pet without the use of sedatives.
If you feel you should medicate your pet
for calming reasons, you should consult
your veterinarian on how this should be
approached. |
How often should your pet be groomed? |
| |
We recommend within the
first three months as grooming can be a
very stressful moment for first timers!
Eventually your puppy will get used to it,
as he will need grooming for the rest of
his life. This is especially the case with
long coated breeds such as Maltese Terriers,
Poodles and Bichons as they need continual
grooming for their coats. |
Does my short haired pet need to be groomed? |
| | Yes. Regular grooming removes dead hair, and it stimulates strong healthy hair. |
Does my non-shedding pet need to be groomed? |
| | Poodles, Bichons and other "non-shedding" breeds have coats that grow continuously and are very prone to matting. Their coats require close attention and should be clipped regularly to avoid matting. |
Why does my dog need to be groomed? |
| | The dead hair in the coat of an ungroomed dog prevents air getting to its skin and is a breeding ground for fleas, ticks and lice; it encourages infection and skin disease and debris such as grass seeds and thorns which can cut into your dog. |
Why does my dog smell bad even after his bath? |
| |
Most dogs should smell
pleasant after bathing. Continual bad odor
may indicate a medical problem-ear infections,
skin disease, internal disorders, dental
decay and fungal infections can all create
an unpleasant smell. |
